Tom attended a special ceremony at Windsor Castle on 28th October 2025, where he was invested by HRH The Princess Royal. Joined by his family for the memorable occasion, Tom described himself as “extremely honoured” to receive this recognition.

A member of the MFPA for almost 40 years, Tom is admired for his bold, vibrant artwork and his lifelong dedication to inclusion, education, and creativity. His commitment to helping others began at just 19, volunteering with young people with disabilities while studying in Hastings. Since then, he has gone on to lead PHAB (Physically Handicapped and Able-Bodied) clubs at Brighton University and has chaired the Treloar College Former Pupils Association for more than four decades.

Tom’s passion for supporting others extends internationally through his work with The Education and Book Appeal Ghana (TEABAG Charity), helping deaf students access vital vocational training — including at a college he established in 2014.

Everyone at the MFPA is incredibly proud of Tom and all he has achieved. His artistic talent and tireless advocacy, in particular for young people with disabilities, continues to inspire us all. Many congratulations Tom.
