Artists Support Helps Nurture the Horatio Garden
5th October 2026
A group of the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists recently gathered at the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre to help raise funds for the Stoke Mandeville, Horatio Garden.
MFPA International President, Tom Yendell OBE and Board Member, Keith Jansz brought together fellow artists to support the cause, with mouth painters Vanessa Haarhof and Bazza West providing ‘live’ demonstrations of their work.
It is a charity close to home. In 1995, a car accident left Keith paralysed from the shoulders down and he spent 6 months in rehab at the National Spinal Injuries Centre at Stoke Mandeville. He has supported Horatio’s Garden, Stoke Mandeville for years, donating his artwork to its fundraisers and talking with newly injured patients in the garden, in their time of need. In his words, “Garden’s like this one are lifesaving”.
Horatio’s Garden Stoke Mandeville is a beautiful, accessible garden at the heart of the spinal centre. It’s a peaceful oasis for patients, their families and the NHS staff who work there.
Thank you to everyone who came along.
