The Hampshire based mouth painter was delighted to have the chance to go behind the scenes to follow the journey of his Christmas Robin painting, as it went from canvas, to printing press, to assembly into a MFPA greetings card pack, in readiness for UK wide distribution, through its door its door-to-door mailings targeting thousands of home. Rob’s Christmas Robin design can also be found on the MFPA website, along with his fellow artists Christmas greetings cards, offering festive joy to all, right across the country.

The artist watched in awe, as right before his eyes, large printed sheets carrying multiple images of his little robin card were being run-off on giant printing machines. Rob said, “I think it’s an honour to be the first UK artist to come and see the process of printing a card and packing it from start to finish. My initial thought was wow, brilliant, the joy of coming up to the factories here, the scale of it is enormous, from me painting a little card in my studio and then it becomes this mammoth process, that’s incredible to see”.
